Formed by Banks after years of empty talk at local pubs, the band came into existence in late 1998. After a brief unsatisfying stint as The Ragsack Hippies, the name Kurtz was adopted. Probably not the first band by that moniker, evidently not the last, but the only one, at least for the time being, in Uppsala. Rehearsing at the YMCA, the band has existed on an on/off kind of basis, and recently returned to business after a year-and-a-half-long hiatus. Concerts are equally sporadic, but inevitable. Kurtz rehearse once a week during school terms, which usually results in a new song, subsequently to be found on the NEW page. |
